About

David Charles the artist, born in London, England, in 1986 and moved from borough to borough before stopping in Brixton, at the age of 4. And working through the world :

His design work has been in his life ever since he could pick up a pencil, pen or a brush. He’s been drawing since he was in nappies, funny story about that one.

Following how his mother drew and painted still life, was the inspiration where his designs started.

Most designs are related to things in he's life so much so it overflows into his personal life.

David was brought up around computers so design and computers interlinked and formed a concept of digital editing and design in his work.

He started to develop the designs on paper to sketch to digital painting to vector to 3D images and more developments in the works.

At some point in time, during his recent photographic past, David felt the necessity to divide his work into two different areas: more conceptual where he can manipulate and animate the work in an active way, and another more passive where he only captures a moment as a simple observer.

David being a photographer, a creative, his work interlinks all aspects of medium and art from photography mix medium to 3D, digital painting, oil painting, sketches, pencil work, live art, 3d printed models, clay works, plastic work, metal work, wood work everything you can think of just not old school photo negatives oh and he loves gardening, solar powdered! All of that fun eco reworked sustainability concepts

- Always has headphones on and a backpack always.

He once said - 'I love trying to experiment different techniques and styles only to see the image grow from a simple idea into a full composition.'

He has formed a mixed media innovative concept childlike anime style which is currently seen throughout his work and the process has grown over time and also grown a small following, amongst all ages.

David has been fortunate enough to have featured in multiple exhibitions and art events read more here - click here
